Chp 9: Rapping it up
There's lots of surprising things that led up to this chapter. There is also lots of things that is in this chapter. I found out that Gatsby's parents weren't dead. His father, Mr. Gatz, is very old but still alive. I noticed that Mr. Gatz kept referring Gatsby as "Jimmy". I feel like there is more things about Gatsby that is unknown and that he didn't tell the full truth about his personal life. Overall, I enjoyed the book because it was full of action, drama, curiosity, and mystery. Every chapter had more details and got more interesting. One of the main importance of this book is Gatsby's american dream. I think that his american dream was to get things back where they were before he went to war and live this perfect new life with Daisy. His dream wasn't accurate because things can never be how it use to be;It could be better or worse but never the same. Gatsby did everything he could to achieve his american dream, but the result that came out of it was a dead Gatsby with no Daisy.
Chp 8: The end of the drama
Coming into chp 8 I expected that Daisy and Tom continued to stay married and continue living their life full of money. I think that Daisy completely gets over Gatsby from the quote when Gatsby said," about four o'clock she came to the window and stood there for a minute and then turned out the light."(147) The event that surprised me the most was when Gatsby was in his pool and Wilson came to his house and shot him. I think that Wilson killed himself also, but i'm not really sure. I think that's crazy because that was Gatsby's first time getting in the pool that summer. "you know, old sport, i've never used that pool all summer." (153) I think that's very ironic. If the butler didn't mention anything about a pool and Gatsby didn't have a thought about going in the pool, Gatsby probably would've still been alive. He would've been somewhere in the house or trying to find Daisy somewhere. My prediction for the last chapter is that Nick is going to plan a funeral for Gatsby and Daisy will mourn over the death of Gatsby.

Chp 7: Finding out more
In chapter 7 we find more about Gatsby, Tom, and Daisy. The one scene that I found interesting is when Daisy was talking about a man who fainted at her wedding. His name was Billoxi. Tom and Dasy were debating about him knowing who. "Well, he said he knew you. He said he was raised in Louisville. Asa Bird brought him around at the last minute and asked if we had room for him."(128) I personally think that Gatsby sent Billoxi to go to Daisy's wedding to see what was going on. I also think that he fainted to make a big scene. Another big scene that caught my attention was when Daisy took the wheel when her and Gatsby left the suite and she ran over Mrs. Wilson. I think that Daisy did it on purpose because she knew that Mrs. Wilson is Tom's mistress. My prediction for the next chapter is that we're going to find out more about Gatsby's scheme with Wolfsheim and more about Tom and Daisy and how they will handle the info Gtasby said at the suite.
